Vikings were Scandinavian Norsemen seafarers who raided and conquered many countries and territories during the 8th to the 11th centuries. They were strong, aggressive and adventurous explorers who were feared even by bigger established countries then such as England and Germany.
It is this same strong spirit of boldness, aggressiveness and unorthodox ways that Viking Cold Storage would like to emulate. To be aggressive in conquering new markets in our cold storage business, to use new and modern technology rather than traditional equipment in building our cold storage facilities and to be a one of the biggest if not the biggest cold storage operator in the country within Five (5) Years.
Viking Cold Storage (Davao), Inc. or Viking Davao is envisioned to be the first ultra-modern cold storage facility in the Philippines and will be a showcase of Viking Cold Storage Group.
As the name suggest, it will be located in the growth city of Davao specifically in Brgy. Tibungco, Bunawan District along Km 18 Crossing Eliong Road which is currently being widened into a 4-Lane Concrete Road and will serve as a By-Pass Road from the port area to Buhangin District where Davao International Airport is located. The road widening is being undertaken by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) and funded by Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). Once completed within this year (2018), it will transform Km 18 Crossing Eliong Road into a major road with commercial potential.
Viking Davao is currently in the design stage with actual construction of Phase 1 to commence on the 3rd Quarter of this year 2018.
